Our Mission Partners

WCOC is committed to Christ’s command to make disciples of all nations so works in partnership with a number of Christian ministries and individuals to help fulfil this goal. Through our partners we are able to increase our impact in our local community and worldwide (Acts 1:8).

+ African Inland Mission (AIM)

Len and Robbyn Lesleighter have served with Africa Inland Mission since mid 2006. Len is the Australian/Asia-Pacific Mobilising Region Director and Robbyn is the Finance Officer. Their role is to oversee the mobilising of people, prayer and resources for the ministry of AIM in Africa, where AIM’s focus is to reach Africa’s unreached people groups.

Their mobilisation role is particularly focussed on Australia and New Zealand. They also work with the AIM committee in Hong Kong and helped establish an AIM Director and Council in Korea. They lived in Africa for 6 months in 2006/07, and have regular trips back to the continent. Prior to joining AIM, Len and Robbyn served for more than 6 years in the administration and leadership of Mobile Mission Maintenance based in Victoria.

For more information, please visit the AIM website.

+ Special Religious Education (SRE)

Every week during the school year, dedicated volunteers are teaching literally thousands of local public school children about God, the Bible and important Christian truths. WCOC helps provide teaching materials, teachers, and dedicated prayer support for this work. To find out how you could be involved in this ministry, speak to Mary Sponberg-Macready.

+ Wayne and Katelyn Tso, AFES

Wayne and Katelyn Tso and their two young boys, Boston and Everett, have relocated to Newcastle, NSW to follow God's purpose for their lives.

As a senior staff worker with Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students (AFES) Newcastle, Wayne Tso works predominantly at the City Campus which is expected to rapidly expand in the next decade. His work includes meeting with students one-on-one and in groups around the Word to pray with, support and disciple. He is there to also train and facilitate students as they plan activites including Bible studies, Christian outreach and social events. His work also involves giving Bible talks on campus, running seminars and facilitating student retreats and conferences.

Visit the AFES website to learn more about Wayne's work at Newcastle University.

+ Churches of Christ Overseas Aid (COCOA)
